Newsight Imaging unveils MT Lidar for precise 3D mapping of robotics and automation

Semiconductor innovator Newsight Imaging Ltd., developing proprietary 3D machine vision sensors, spectral vision chips and systems Announced the launch of a new addition to the Multi-Triangulation (MT) LiDAR Reference Design series.

MT LiDAR 3.1, based on the NSI9000 image sensor with 1024 x 480 pixel resolution and on-chip peak detection, showcases Newsight's multi-triangulation technology, designed for ultra-high accuracy in short-range measurement applications. The new reference design enables full 3D mapping in a single scan with 480 depth points, supports depth resolution of 20um -- 1mm, and is capable of achieving hundreds of frames per second, ideal for continuous production and structural inspection control.

MT LiDAR 3.1 provides customers with the ability to quickly develop complete solutions based on the Newsight chip and technology, with a high degree of configurability for different applications and flexibility in dealing with different scenarios and lighting conditions.
