Photonics is a science that studies the behavior and application of photons as information and energy carriers. It is a new science after electronics and optoelectronics. Since the invention of laser in the 1960s, photonic technology has played an increasingly important role in the fields of medical treatment, chemical industry, energy, aerospace, national defense and so on. In 2019, the total output value of the global optoelectronic industry reached US $463billion. The development of optoelectronic products such as display panels, consumer imaging products, tool machines, lighting, solar energy and so on slowed down, but the output value of optoelectronic applications such as communication, life sciences, safety and so on bucked the trend. If the 20th century is the century of electricity, then the 21st century is the century of light.
In this context, the "2022 World optoelectronic conference" co sponsored by the Chinese society of Optical Engineering (csoe), the international society of Optical Engineering (SPIE) and other units is scheduled to be held at Beijing Yichuang International Convention and Exhibition Center from August 10 to 12, 2022, with the "11th International Conference on Applied Optics and photonics technology exchange (aopc2022)" and "the 14th China Optoelectronic Industry Expo 2022" held at the same time.
The conference is the annual meeting of the Chinese society of optical engineering, with 21 special chapters and a scale of nearly 2000 people.
