ProPhotonix Limited has launched its new digital compact laser. With a diameter of just 8mm, the laser provides digital control and monitoring in an extremely compact package, ideal for space-constrained applications.
Digital capabilities enable system designers to deliver higher performance products to their customers. The new high-performance laser can be controlled and monitored through a digital RS232 communication interface and provides increased flexibility and control in applications including precision industrial alignment, particle detection, patient positioning, 3D measurement, aiming and high-speed automatic inspection.
For system designers who want to keep their systems ahead of the curve, the device provides the output power, pulse duration, and frequency to be modified, and monitors the performance of the laser. In their system, the new digital laser allows flexibility for the same system to perform different tasks. In addition, digital lasers can be easily integrated into the entire control system, thus allowing the end user complete control and view of system performance.
The laser offers 520nm, 635nm, and 650nm output power ranging from 0.9mW to 4mW with elliptical beams, line, and cross-generating optics with CW or modulation operation. It provides high reliability and excellent aiming. 0.5°).
"Digital control and monitoring provides system designers with the opportunity to develop systems with greater functionality, flexibility and control," said Jeremy Lane, General Manager of ProPhotonix's laser business. This new product will enable customers to enhance their systems with very limited space."
