Trumpf's new laser TruFiber S was unveiled at the China International Battery Show

(Shenzhen, China, May 16, 2023) TRUMPF, a global leader in high-end equipment, today unveiled a new generation of fiber continuous laser TruFiber S series at the 15th China International Battery Technology Exhibition. The new product with low welding spatter, multi-optical path output, high stability and high reliability, especially suitable for new energy lithium battery production and manufacturing process, can significantly lithium battery yield and service life, help the lithium industry safety, quality, efficiency.

Tunkuai patent ring core adjustable welding technology

At the heart of BrightLine Weld is a 2in1 laser cable (LLK) with a patented inner and ring core fiber design that enables the distribution of laser power between the inner and ring cores. The ring core adjustable welding technology can not only significantly reduce the spatter generated in the welding process, reduce the pollution risk of machining head, but also restrain the weld collapse and reduce the end crack. As the energy input is reduced, the deformation of the material after welding can also be improved accordingly.

Multi-optical output cable supports plug and play

The TruFiber S series is available in single-path and dual-path options, with the latter allowing the laser to be used in both systems. Cable plug and play support is also a highlight of the series. Flexibility and versatility, along with significantly reduced downtime, make TruFiber S a great choice for industries that require stringent processing equipment, such as new-energy vehicles and lithium-ion batteries.
