Luxinar, a leader in Laser manufacturing, is proud to celebrate its 25th anniversary at Laser Korea in Seoul on July 5-7. The company will be showcasing its latest innovations in cutting, drilling and marking laser sources at booth 4C26. In addition, Luxinar's Korea office is excited to celebrate its 5th anniversary at the show
Introducing new enhancements to the SR Series, Luxinar has long been recognized as the preferred CO 2 laser source for industries such as automotive, electronics, packaging and textiles. Building on this tradition, the company is proud to introduce two new products for its SR series: the SR e Series and the SR x Series.
SR e Series - Higher peak power
The SR e 9.3µm series is designed for the electronics industry to deliver peak power and minimal heat affected zones, making it ideal for applications such as processing polarizing films, removing excess adhesives and laser textures. The SR 10e offers an average output of up to 115W and a peak output of 330W, while the SR 15e has an average output of up to 160W and a peak output of 460W. These advances enable perfect edge quality and fast processing capabilities.
SR x Series - Higher average power
The SR x 9.3µm series is an upgraded version of the SR i series with higher average power, proving to be perfect for high-speed applications. The series includes the SR 10x with an average output of 105W and a peak output of 235W, the SR 15x with an average output of 150W and a peak output of 335W, and the SR 25x with an average output of up to 210W and a peak output of 465W.
The SR e Series and SR x Series 9.3µm models are designed to seamlessly integrate with other lasers in the SR series, ensuring the same beam output position, installation position, overall size, IP66 rating, and maintainability as other SR versions. The SR 10e, SR 15e, SR 10x, SR 15x, and SR 25x models offer standard SR shutter/diode and standard SR back reflection protection options.
Other laser sources on display, Luxinar, will also showcase the SR AOM series with power up to 150W. The series is tailored to meet a variety of high-precision applications that require a minimum heat-affected zone, such as multi-layer film cutting and high-resolution/high-speed marking for the display market. The SR AOM is a CO 2 laser with an integrated acousto-optic modulator that achieves optical rise and fall times of less than 1µs, effectively reducing unwanted thermal energy compared to typical pulse rise/fall times of about 60µs.
In addition, Luxinar will be showcasing its OEM family of compact CO 2 lasers, offering a power range of up to 1000W. These lasers provide a convenient solution that can be seamlessly integrated into industrial processing lines with and without covers. The series includes an integrated RF power supply that enables the laser to produce short pulses of light with peak power or quasi-continuous wave output. It can operate safely over a wide range of pulse widths and frequencies, including through acoustic areas and various coolant temperatures. An optional absorbing film reflector (ATFR) can be used to prevent back reflection.
Patrick Kim, Luxinar's Regional General Manager (Korea), elaborated on the company's achievements: "As we celebrate our 25th anniversary, we are excited to introduce these new members to our laser source portfolio. In addition, we are proud to celebrate the 5th anniversary of our Korea office, which, together with our UK headquarters and other sales and service offices in China, Germany, Italy and the USA, allows us to offer the right time zone for our laser expertise customers."
Throughout the exhibition, the Luxinar Korea team will be present at booth 4C26 to share their extensive knowledge and provide expert advice on laser technology.
