French ultrafast laser giant Amplitude has completed an acquisition

On July 13, Amplitude, a leading French manufacturer of ultrafast lasers, announced the completion of the acquisition of Fastlite, a French high-tech company specializing in ultrafast pulse shaping, characterization and optical parametric amplifiers.

Previously, on December 19, 2022, the two sides officially announced the acquisition and expect the transaction to be completed in early 2023.

Amplitude and Fastlite have a long-standing relationship and will work together to bring advanced ultrafast laser technology to market. The combination will further strengthen Amplitude's position as a leading provider of comprehensive, advanced laser solutions.

The acquisition of Fastlite will be a significant milestone for Amplitude and will help expand the company's technology capabilities and enhance its product portfolio by providing complete and simplified solutions. Fastlite has extensive expertise in femtosecond pulse shaping and characterization to provide cutting-edge solutions for ultrafast laser applications. In addition, Fastlite's optical parametric amplifiers further complement Amplitude's existing offerings, which will be able to provide more comprehensive solutions to customers across industries, such as scientific laboratories.
