Torch Technology's world's first solid laser stripping system transformation project completed customer acceptance to significantly reduce operating costs and improve equipment utilization

On July 17, the transformation project of the world's first well-known panel factory Solid State Laser Lift Off system, which was won and delivered by Torch Technology, successfully completed customer acceptance recently.

Laser Lift Off (LLO) is one of the key processes in the production of flexible OLED panels, which uses ultraviolet laser energy to separate the flexible OLED display from the glass substrate. Since 2022, the company has actively developed a new business model, and in addition to continuing to win orders for new production lines, it is also actively expanding the upgrade market of existing production lines. After several rounds of technical competition, the company won the final bid for the solid laser stripping system transformation project of a well-known domestic panel factory in 2022, which is the world's first solid laser stripping system transformation project, upgrading the customer's original laser stripping equipment based on excimer laser to a more advanced solid laser stripping equipment. After the transformation is completed, customers do not need to use any special gas in the operation process, and do not need frequent gas replacement and laser downtime maintenance, thereby significantly reducing operating costs and improving equipment utilization.

This solid laser stripping transformation project has further enhanced Torch's determination and confidence to break foreign technology monopoly, while opening up a new business model and bringing more economic benefits to customers in the semiconductor display industry.

Torch Technology has accumulated rich experience in the field of flexible OLED solid laser stripping, which can achieve good stripping results on yellow PI and transparent PI. Over the years, the company's solid laser stripping system has shipped 24 sets to internationally renowned semiconductor and flat panel display equipment manufacturers in China, South Korea and other countries, and has been applied in the mass production line of many leading semiconductor display customers in China, South Korea and Japan for a long time.
