Switzerland's top 100 sales in the third quarter reached 681.2 million! Backlogged orders of nearly 350 million Swiss francs

Recently, Bystronic of Switzerland released its financial report for the third quarter of 2023. The financial report shows that in the first three quarters of this fiscal year, due to the liquidation of backlog orders, Swiss Super 100's sales increased by 2.1% at a fixed exchange rate. However, due to the strong performance of the Swiss franc, especially against the US dollar, its sales decreased by 4.4% to 681.2 million Swiss francs.

In terms of orders, Swiss Premier League continues to promote the normalization of its high backlog of orders. As of the end of September 2023, its backlog of orders was 347.9 million Swiss francs, lower than the 413 million Swiss francs at the end of 2022.

In the first nine months of 2023, in a challenging market environment, clients' investment activities were suppressed. The total order amount of Swiss Super 100 is 624.6 million Swiss francs, and the exchange rate impact has had a significant negative impact on it.

Overall, the demand for Swiss Super 100 in the third quarter remained stable at the level of the previous quarters. From different geographical regions, the order volume in EMEA and APAC regions is lower than the levels in the first and second quarters of 2023. The Americas region has shown strong performance and positive development. In China, economic uncertainty is still suppressing the growth momentum of this market.

Outlook
Swiss Premier League has confirmed its outlook for the full year of 2023. As mentioned earlier, due to the economic slowdown, it is expected that the order intake and sales of the machinery business will decrease, while the service business will continue to grow. Overall, Swiss Baichao expects its business performance to improve despite a slight decrease in sales.

For 2024, Swiss Baichao expects the market environment to remain unchanged, with order volumes consistent with previous quarters. In addition, by the beginning of 2024, its backlog of orders will further decrease.
So far, Swiss Super 100 has launched many cost reduction measures. Overall, considering the strength of the Swiss franc, Swiss Baichao expects sales to decline and operating performance to be lower than in 2023.
