In the era of industrial automation, servo electromechanical is the most common control part in motion control. During the operation of servo motors, it is inevitable to encounter some common faults, but how will we solve them?
1、 Preparatory work for starting the servo motor:
(1)Measure insulation resistance.
(2) Measure whether the power supply voltage and motor wiring meet the requirements.
(3) Check if the starting equipment is in good condition.
(4) Check if the fuse is in good condition.
(5) Check if the grounding and zero connection of the motor are good.
(6) Check if there are any defects in the transmission device.
(7) Check if the motor environment is good and ensure that there are no flammable substances present.
2、 Excessive temperature rise of the motor or smoking fault of the motor
Reason: Excessive load, two-phase operation, blocked air duct, high operating environment temperature, short circuit or grounding of stator winding, high or low power supply voltage.
Repair: Reduce load, select high-capacity motors, clear air ducts, cool down, and use a multimeter to check the input power supply voltage.
3、 Electric motor has sparks on the outer shell due to electrification
Reason: The stator winding is damp, the insulation material is aging, and the outgoing wire collides with the junction box shell.
Repair: Replace the stator winding and dry it.
4、 Abnormal motor vibration
Reason: Unbalanced rotor, bent shaft, unbalanced belt pulley, uneven air gap resulting in unilateral magnetic pulling force.
Repair: Correct the dynamic and static balance, correct or replace the shaft, and readjust the air gap.
5、 Motor current three-phase imbalance
Reason: Severe insufficient power supply voltage, unequal number of three-phase turns, and internal wiring errors.
Repair: Check the power supply voltage, replace the motor, and correct the wiring.
6、 The no-load current of the motor is too high
Reason: Large air gap between stator and rotor, too few turns of stator winding, and improper assembly.
Repair: reduce the air gap between the stator and rotor, re verify and wind, and reassemble.
7、 The insulation resistance of the motor is significantly reduced
Reason: The stator is damp, there is too much dust, and the insulation material is damaged or aged.
Repair: Drainage and dehumidification, dust removal, repair or replacement of insulation materials.
