Gears are an important component of gear reducers, and for gear reducers, gears play an important role. The advantages of using good gears for gear reducers include:

gearing

1) In commonly used mechanical transmissions, gear transmission has the highest efficiency, and closed transmission has an efficiency of 96%~98%, which has great economic significance for high-power transmission.
2) The compact structure requires less space than belt and chain drives.
3) Stable transmission ratio is often a basic requirement for transmission performance. Gear transmission has been widely used precisely because of its characteristic.
4) A gear transmission with reliable operation, long service life, correct and reasonable design and manufacturing, and good use and maintenance can work very reliably, with a lifespan of up to ten or twenty years, which is incomparable to other mechanical transmissions.

The gears that make up the gear reducer are divided into helical gears and spur gears. Why are the gears of many gear reducers inclined? We can determine the reason by comparison.

1. Compared to spur gears, the position of the shaft of a helical gear reducer is more free. For example, the differential transmission shaft with bevel gears does not necessarily need to be on the same horizontal plane as the rear axle. If it is a straight bevel gear, it is necessary.
2. Reduce noise. If the gear reducer uses helical teeth, the noise will be much lower than that of straight teeth at the same speed. The reason is that the surface of the helical teeth of the gear reducer first makes point contact, then transitions to surface contact, and finally to point contact. The contact between the line, surface, and line of a spur gear. The transition of helical teeth is smoother. Therefore, the noise generated by sudden changes in contact is much smaller than that of flat teeth.
3. The helical gear has a high degree of overlap and a large number of teeth entering the mesh at the same time. Reduce impact and noise, making the transmission smoother and able to withstand high-speed heavy loads.
4. During the machining process, the minimum number of teeth to avoid root cutting is small. The corresponding gear head should be small, so when the transmission ratio of the transmission pair is the same, the volume of the gear reducer using helical gears should be smaller.

5. Convenient production, a set of helical gear reducers with the same face width but different modules can be produced on cylindrical blanks using a hobbing machine. Later, different face widths can be cut according to customer needs.

However, the smoothness of the transmission of spur gears is poor, with high impact and noise. When using helical gears for gear reducers, there is a high degree of overlap and good tooth contact, resulting in high load-bearing capacity; The minimum number of teeth of helical gears is smaller than that of spur gears, so the mechanism is more compact and the manufacturing cost is the same as that of spur gears. The use of helical gears in gear reducers is more reasonable and suitable for practical engineering.

The helical gear reducer has so many advantages, but its advantages are based on precise manufacturing, exquisite surface treatment, and exquisite tooth profile correction. So, precision electromechanical has always been committed to working hard in technology and technology, striving to manufacture more precise and exquisite gear reducers.
