Servo motor wiring steps and methods:

1. To determine the power cord and ground wire, servo motors usually need to receive power supply. Firstly, it is necessary to confirm the power requirements of the servo system and the wiring method of the power cord. Usually there are two power cords, one is the positive (+) and the other is the negative (-). Additionally, a grounding wire is required to ensure the safety of the circuit.

2. Connect the encoder (feedback device). Most servo motors use an encoder to provide feedback on the motor's position and motion status. Encoders generally include A-phase, B-phase, Z-phase lines, as well as power and ground lines. Usually, connect the encoder correctly to the controller according to its wiring instructions.

3. Connect the motor coils. A servo motor usually has two coils, one is the main coil (usually the A-phase coil), and the other is an auxiliary coil orthogonal to it (usually the B-phase coil). The wiring methods of these two coils may have different requirements, so the correct wiring needs to be carried out according to the specific motor model and manufacturer's manual.

4. Provide device supply voltage. Some servo motors require external power supply. This is usually an additional voltage provided to the motor driver, controller, or other additional devices. According to the requirements of the motor system, correctly connect the device supply voltage to the controller or driver.

5. Ground wire connection and shielding wire connection: To prevent electromagnetic interference, servo motors usually need to connect the ground wire and shielding wire. The ground wire is used to protect the safety of personnel and equipment, while the shielding wire is used to provide additional electromagnetic shielding protection. According to the specific servo motor system, correctly connect the ground wire and shielding wire to the corresponding ground wire and shielding terminals.

6. After completing the wiring and conducting testing, it is necessary to ensure that the wiring is correct and error free. Before powering on, ensure that all wiring is firm and reliable, and conduct necessary testing and calibration to ensure the normal operation of the servo motor.

      • The correct insertion method of servo motor plug wires
        Servo motor plug wires are generally divided into three wires, namely ground wire, power wire, and signal wire. The correct insertion method is as follows:
        1. Insert the ground wire into the GND hole on the socket;
        2. Insert the power cord into the VCC hole on the socket;
        3. Insert the signal wire into the signal hole on the socket. When inserting wires, pay attention to the color of the wires. Generally speaking, the ground wire is brown or black, the power wire is red or yellow, and the signal wire is white or blue.
        Precautions
        1. Before plugging in, make sure that the power is turned off and there is no electricity on the socket;
        2. When inserting cables, make sure that each wire is inserted in the correct position, and do not insert them upside down or miss them;
        3. If it is difficult to plug in the cable, you can try using some tools to help, but be careful not to damage the plug and socket;
        4. After inserting the wire, pay attention to whether the wire is loose or disconnected. You can gently pull the wire to check;
        If there is an abnormality during the use of the servo motor, you can check whether the insertion of the wire is correct.
