Multi head laser cutting machine is a general term for a type of laser cutting equipment, which refers to cutting equipment with multiple laser heads. The number of laser heads here is not fixed, and can be more or less, but most of them are used to process materials with larger widths. Compared to single head laser equipment, multi head laser cutting machines can complete multiple identical or different processing tasks in one operation, greatly improving processing efficiency.

Multi head laser cutting machines are divided into single axis multi head laser cutting machines and multi axis multi head laser cutting machines. Both types of laser cutting equipment are used to process large format materials. Among them, single axis multi head laser cutting machines are mainly used to process small patterns with orderly pattern arrangement, while multi axis multi head laser cutting machines are mostly used to process materials with larger and more complex patterns.

Multi head laser cutting machines have a wide range of applications in various industries, such as advertising, packaging, clothing, decoration, footwear, automotive interior, etc. Among them, fabric processing is the most common because clothing manufacturers often need to process large format fabrics in bulk, and this type of processing requires multi head laser equipment, which is very convenient and efficient.

When a multi head laser cutting machine cuts and processes fabric, it usually uses a visual laser control system that can see the entire machine width, commonly referred to as the large visual laser control system in the industry. This type of system usually consists of a camera and a motion control card, along with accompanying laser software.

The reason for using a visual laser control system is determined by the particularity of the fabric itself. Fabric is a very soft material that is prone to deformation during the feeding process. If processed without discrimination, errors can easily occur, wasting time and materials. The laser control system with visual recognition function can recognize the deformation of the fabric, adjust the processing method in real time, and ensure correct processing.

However, compared to a single excitation head control system, a multi head laser control system with visual recognition function is much more expensive and more difficult to debug. After all, it is necessary to ensure the correctness of visual recognition and the efficiency of multi axis movement, which puts very high requirements on the hardware and software of the control system.
