To achieve clear marking and processing effects with a laser marking machine, we need to understand its internal structure and basic operating methods. Here are simple steps for adjusting the optical path. To adjust the optical path system of the laser marking machine well, the following aspects need to be achieved:
1. Turn on the chiller of the laser marking machine in the normal order. Note that the chiller needs to be turned on and wait for the real-time temperature of the chiller to match the set temperature before proceeding to the next step. Remove the protective cover of the laser marking machine, be careful not to rub it, and turn off the laser and Q-switch power according to the normal shutdown method.
2. Observe the red light output and feedback using a dimmer frequency multiplier or white paper. It is recommended to have a round and bright spot on the red light indicator screen. If there is more than one red spot, adjust the red light indicator to the adjustment nut of the beam expander in sequence until the requirements are met.
3. Turn on the laser power and adjust the current to 14-15 amperes. It is recommended not to exceed 15 amperes. Use a frequency multiplier to observe whether the laser output is a round and bright spot.
4. Place the frequency multiplier behind the beam expander and observe for laser output. If not, slowly adjust the adjusting nut and then adjust it in sequence until there are round and bright points.
5. Slowly reduce the current of the laser marking machine, observe the intensity of the frequency doubling point, and then adjust the adjusting nut to a round and bright position.
6. Repeat step 5 at least 4-6 times to obtain a round and bright spot. At this point, the current should be less than 10A, preferably not exceeding 12A.
7. Place the frequency multiplier on the workbench. At this point, the laser marking machine workbench should be in the focusing position (about 22-22.5cm), observe the intensity of the laser spot, or slightly increase the current adjustment nut until the strongest spot is obtained. Please note that this step is fine tuned.
8. Turn on the Q switch and perform the test. If the light intensity meets the requirements, the adjustment will be completed.
Attention: Do not adjust a certain knob too large or too fast, otherwise it is easy for the laser marking machine to have no laser.
The laser marking machine system mainly consists of an optical path system, a lens system, and a cooling system, each of which plays its own role to ensure smooth processing. The optical path system of the laser marking machine is the path and protection system formed before the laser reaches the workpiece. Long term operation will cause it to be damaged and needs to be adjusted.
