Three phase asynchronous motor voltage reduction starting method

1. Autotransformer starting method: The starting voltage of the motor is reduced through an autotransformer. During the starting process, the motor is first connected to the lower voltage side of the autotransformer, and then the voltage is gradually increased to gradually accelerate the motor. After the motor reaches its rated speed, connect it to the rated voltage side of the autotransformer. This method can effectively reduce the current surge during motor start-up.

2. Resistance voltage reduction starting method: Resistance voltage reduction starting method is to reduce the starting voltage of the motor by connecting resistors in series at both ends of the motor. During the start-up process, resistors can effectively reduce the torque of the motor, thereby reducing current surges. As the motor accelerates, gradually reduce the resistance until it is completely removed.

3. Automatic transformer starting method: The automatic transformer starting method reduces the starting voltage of the motor through an automatic transformer. During the start-up process, first connect the motor to the lower voltage side of the automatic transformer, and then gradually increase the voltage to accelerate the motor. After the motor reaches its rated speed, connect it to the rated voltage side of the automatic transformer.
