Recently, when I try to engrave using my Xtool D1 pro, the engraving is way off. When I frame the job, everything looks fine. But once I start to engrave, the laser moves roughly 1.5 inches to the left. This has happened consistently over the last month. I’ve managed the engraving by manually adjusting the starting point of the laser.

Today, I tried to cut and engrave a Christmas ornament. The cut worked perfectly, correct location. But when the laser started to engrave, it once again moved to the left to the point it set off the limit alarm.

When I try these things using XCS, there are no alignment issues. I have deleted and reinstalled Lightburn thinking something may have happened when I moved to a new laptop.

    • Go to Edit->Device Settings and review the Scanning Offset Adjustment area. Look at the Initial Offset values. If they are anything other than 0s then redo them with 0s for Initial Offset.
      This should resolve the issue.
