How to reposition the laser after losing its position

4 days agoCan you publish your machine brand and model? If you turn off the power and then turn it back on and press the Home button, will it go to the Home position? You can search and read 'How to Seek Help', which will tell you all the information that can be posted here to get help faster.

: Sorry for the lack of info. I have an X tool D2, 20W. If i power down then back on and hit home, the laser travels over and hits the side rail. I get a message saying “hard limit triggered. Starting position likely lost. Rehome laser.”

: So it goes, I guess, to the Back left corner and it hits the limit switch. This means its trying to home but the Grid system on your screen and where the laser machine thinks it is are different. You should search in the Forum Topics for this problem…you will find it there as this comes up a lot. Make sure you include your make and model in the search. I suppose you are in Absolute Coordinate when this happens. Try switching to Current position and Turn OFF machine (place laser head somewhere in middle and Turn ON again. Go to MOVE window on screen and use the Arrow keys to move the laser left/right…Forward/back…Does it move ok?
