On February 1, Chromacity, a laser pioneer based in Edinburgh, Scotland, announced a strategic cooperation agreement with Edmund Optics, an American optical technology supplier, which will become the global supplier and distributor of the former's ultra-fast lasers. In the future, Chromacity will actively promote and distribute its fixed-wavelength femtosecond lasers through Edmund Optics' global channels and optical imaging network.

Edmund Optics is a leading manufacturer and supplier of optical, imaging and photonics technology in the world, applied in the fields of research and development, biomedicine, industrial detection, semiconductor and security.
Chromacity's main business is to produce lasers for industrial applications and academic research. The company has developed a new generation of "ultra-fast lasers with reasonable price, reliability and simple use".
This cooperation agreement will strengthen the OEM development opportunities of both sides in the biomedical imaging field: the remote installation capability of Chromacity ultrafast laser is conducive to promoting life scientists to build and operate their own microscope equipment; Chrome's ease of integration and system stability play a crucial role for microscope manufacturers.
At the same time, Chromacity also announced the launch of the latest 920 nm ultra-fast laser emission light source. The promotion of the 920 nm laser light source system newly developed by Chromacity is also a part of this cooperation agreement. Chromicity 920 can provide a key laser source for two-photon microscopy and excitation of key fluorophores and calcium markers, which is crucial in pioneering biomedical research and ultimately can improve the prognosis of patients.
Ed Kay, Vice President of the business line of Edmund Optics, said: "We are pleased to introduce ultra-fast femtosecond pulse fiber lasers into our global inventory distribution network, ready to ship at any time, and change the mode of laser installation and support."
Shahida Imani, CEO of Chromicity, said: "Edmund Optics is widely recognized as the world leader in the supply of optical and imaging technology. It is clear that they have a strong ambition to remain at the forefront of the distribution of new photonics technology by enhancing our ultra-short pulse laser combination. We are very excited about the prospect of the new partnership."
It is reported that at the end of last year, Chromacity obtained a new financing of £ 1 million and appointed two new directors. The company will focus on further realizing the rapid expansion of its business.
