Fast connection with Ethernet

RD Controllers has USB and Ethernet port for data sending. For some cases, if the USB port is burnt out, User can try the Ethernet port to make the controller working. user can follow the steps to set up a Ethernet connection with RD controllers.

1 Prepare a Ethernet cable and make sure the cable can do a correct internet connection.

2 Connect the cable from the computer's port to the Ethernet port of the controller

3 Power on the controller and waiting the machine reset is finished

4 if the controller is RDC6442, go to <Z/U> key and then go to <IP config+>

5 Check the ip setting and remember it, for example IP is 192.168.1.39

6 Open the software of RDWorksV8 , make sure the model was correct selected

7 set up the Ethernet connection

The IP address should be the same as the IP in the controller. for example the IP in the controller is 192.168.1.39; the IP in the the controller is also 192.168.1.39

8 Set the IP of the computer； do not use <auto assign IP>, just to set the referenced IP address

9 then go to the test ;page 

if test the communication successfully, the connection of Ethernet will be ok
