Why is planetary reducer the "first choice" of servo motor? The PLE080 planetary reducer is usually used in combination with the servo motor to balance the inertia load conditions in frequent frequency cycle sequence, reduce the motor speed, improve the torque, and provide a solid mechanical interface for the pulley, cam, drum and other mechanical transmission components. In fact, the combination of servo motor and planetary gearbox has become one of the basic "electromechanical integration" components.
The common misunderstanding about planetary gear system involves backlash: planetary gear box is used for servo gear box due to its inherent low backlash. Low backlash is the main characteristic requirement of servo gearbox; The backlash is a measure of the accuracy of the planetary gearbox.
For fixed shafts, the standard "straight tooth" gear arrangement system can be easily designed and manufactured to achieve low backlash requirements. In addition, low backlash is not an absolute requirement for servo-based automation applications. In order to avoid internal impact load in gear meshing, it is recommended to use moderately low clearance - that is, in applications with high start/stop, forward/reverse cycles. That is to say, it is easy to compensate backlash as long as the rotation direction or torque load direction changes by using the current high-resolution motor feedback equipment and related motion controller.
