Any tips or tricks for measuring from the nozzle to the material when determining focal distance? I’ve tried calipers from a stationary point on laser head but it doesn’t seem as accurate as it should be. Hoping for some ideas to take the guess work out.

Im using a LM3 with a 10 w laser and having issues with X axis cutting deeper than the Y axis. This happens on wood, leather and cardboard. It also happens when using the Materials Test in Laser Tools.Any help would be appreciated !

I am attempting to make a universal test card. The measurements for the card, which was downloaded from LA Hobby Guy, are based on using a 5.5w laser. I am using a 10w laser. what should I adjust the measurements to? I am new to laser engraving, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I’m new to LB and have a question. I have an Ortur LM3 with the extension. When I start LB it shows my entire work area. I usually import images into LB and it drops them right in the middle of the work area. So I’m constantly dragging and zooming.
