Marelli is a company specialized in the field of automotive lighting, which has won the prestigious "2024 CES Innovation Award Winner" for its revolutionary red laser and fiber optic taillight technology. This innovative solution, showcased at the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show, for the first time combines the functionality of red laser with taillights, opening up a new perspective for car design.

Marelli is one of the first OE suppliers in the lighting industry to successfully integrate red laser into taillights. By combining the red laser diode with the side fibers in the laser, ultra-fine lighting lines can be created, providing unprecedented flexibility for automotive manufacturers in designing unique and complex designs.

This technology was developed in response to the requirements of well-known high-end German car manufacturers. The challenge lies in using a thin light guide plate with a diameter of no more than 1 millimeter to create a unique nighttime appearance. The traditional plastic light guide plate with a diameter of about 6 mm cannot meet these requirements, which prompted Marilli to develop an innovative solution based on fiber optics.

The combination of laser and fiber not only provides unparalleled aesthetic flexibility, but has also been proven to be sustainable. However, ADAC has raised serious concerns about the maintenance cost of modern car headlights. Due to its energy efficiency and lightweight, this technology outperforms LED in terms of light intensity. In addition, laser technology creates a charming "spot" effect on the fiber optic, giving the taillights a unique appearance that has never been seen in automotive lighting. Osram is one of the latest innovations in the aftermarket, showcasing our tested and approved NightBreaker LED modified lights.
