Yamazaki Mazak designed the FT-150 fiber laser tube processing machine for high-speed cutting of small and medium-sized diameter pipes, for use in Tube 2024. The machine tool will be controlled by a new type of pipe cutting CNC, which will be exhibited for the first time in Europe.

Tube 2024 will be held from April 15th to 19th in Dusseldorf, Germany. Mazak will be exhibited at booth C17 in Hall 5.
FT-150 fiber optic can cut circular, square, and rectangular tubes with a diameter of up to 152.4mm.
In Europe, this machine will be controlled by SmoothTUBE CNC for the first time. It has a new graphical user interface that makes user control simple and intuitive, as well as a new human-machine interface that makes production scheduling and programming easier. By using dual displays, multiple applications can also be run simultaneously, such as production status and cutting conditions.

FT-150 fiber optic can cut various materials such as stainless steel, copper, brass, and aluminum, and can perform various processes including cutting, tapping, and hot drilling.

This machine maximizes productivity by reducing the demand for secondary processes such as punching, deburring, and tapping.
The main functions include a support device for long workpiece materials to prevent sagging during the cutting process, a tilted laser head that can achieve high-precision groove cutting, and an internal splash protection device to prevent burns on the surface of internal workpieces. In addition, there is also an option for rotating tool spindles for tapping holes and hot drilling. The FT-150 Fiber is equipped with automatic functions, including automatic contour calibration and nozzle cleaning.

There are four different options for laser processing machines, each with a 3.0 kW resonator that can be specified based on the length of the workpiece material being processed, ranging from 6500 millimeters to 8000 millimeters.

Mazak will also showcase for the first time in Europe the new CAD/CAM software Tube DX, which aims to make programming and drawing import operations simple and fast. It integrates all steps in the programming process, from CAD import to manufacturing order management, automatic nesting of pipes, and creation of trajectories.

Mr. Gaetano Lo Guzzo, Director of Laser Business in Europe at Mazak, said, "The FT-150 fiber equipped with our new professional tube CNC is a product of Mazak's commitment to developing excellent laser machines that use the latest technology and intelligent features to improve speed, accuracy, and ultimately increase profitability.".

The latest theory seems to suggest that we are seeing a comprehensive signal of th...
