Lead in issue on this awesome software

Hello ,
I use lightburn for quite some time , awesome piece of software.
Although I like it and i use it very much , for the love of God and all the Angels in the heaven why is it so hard to put a lead in on the inside of a rectangle or other shapes. On circles is super easy , just put a negative angle , length and presto , inside lead in.

On rectangular shapes on the other hand is a pain to put a lead in on the inside , i tried with the length 10 mm and angle from 90 to -90 , i tried to put a point , and nothing , i just gave up.

Why for the love of god and Jesus is so hard , on other software just put -135 degrees or more and done . Just put the whole 360 degrees available so we can rotate the damn lead in easily in any direction in under a 10 seconds , without watching 15 youtube videos on how to put a damn point , how to modify the start point and direction and nothing in the end.

PS: I read all the info available on the forum before posting , with no luck.

I’ve found lead-ins to always be a bit fussy with inside cuts potentially producing intruding lead-ins.

Try this:

1. Add a node to a flat portion of one of the sides
2. Using the Shape Start Position Editor tool explicitly pick the side node as the starting position. The arrow needs to show as blue.
3. May or may not be necessary but disable “Choose best starting point” in Optimization Settings
4. Pick a positive value for lead-in

Note that if you’re fussy about starting position that you may now need to manually confirm the starting position for all shapes.
