Infinite Electronics brand and innovative operator level global supplier of fiber optic components, Integra Optics, announced the launch of its latest innovative product, the XGS-PON and GPON combination OLT SFP+BiDi optical transceiver module. This module integrates the passive optical network OLT and GPON OLT optical modules of XG (S), promoting seamless network rate deployment within the optical distribution network (ODN) based on the requirements of optical network units (ONUs).

This transceiver module can achieve a smooth transition from GPON to XG/XGS-PON, effectively meeting the constantly changing needs of future network infrastructure without the need for thorough infrastructure maintenance. Its outstanding feature is the ability to support up to 20 kilometers of transmission distance through single-mode fiber (SMF) at 10/2.5 G and 10/10 Gbps data rates, ensuring robust and efficient long-distance connections. It follows SFP+MSA and complies with GPON/XGS-PON standards, demonstrating its versatility and ability to adapt to different network environments.

This product is suitable for a wide range of working conditions and offers industrial working temperature (-40 ℃ to+85 ℃) and commercial temperature (0 ℃ to+70 ℃) versions, suitable for various deployment scenarios.

One of the main advantages of combining XGS-PON and GPON with OLT SFP+modules is the absence of external wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) equipment, simplifying network architecture and significantly reducing construction and maintenance costs.
In addition, the module also has a digital diagnostic monitoring (DDM) interface that complies with the QSFP28 multi-source protocol (MSA), enhancing network reliability through real-time monitoring and diagnosis.

"Integrating GPON and XGS-PON functions into a single optical module not only marks a technological leap, but also reflects our commitment to innovation and understanding the needs of the telecommunications industry," said Marina Miller, Senior Engineering Manager. "This module aims to address real-world network challenges, providing unparalleled distance coverage, industry standard compliance, temperature versatility, and simplified network design."

The new XGS-PON and GPON combination OLT SFP+BiDi optical transceiver module from Integra Optics is now available for immediate use.
