Text not aligned when using the rotating scroll wheel

It appears that you are using line mode. That typically gives these type of results as the workpiece slips when the rotary changes directions. With a roller rotary it is recommended to only do fill mode with the scan direction along the X axis. This is the default direction of 0 degrees.

  : Your speed setting for the layer controls how fast it rotates when in line mode. If you slow that down to the point that it doesn’t slip, you may not be able to set the power low enough that it doesn’t burn. The slower the laser moves, the lower the power needs to be to get the same results.

  : One thing I discovered is if the part isn’t as smooth it doesn’t slip. I put masking tape on both ends so it is rotating on the tape and it came out better this time.

I did this without the rotary, using a fixture to hold them.
