Electricity consumption for laser cutting

The power consumption of a 3000 watt laser cutter depends on its operating voltage and operating time. Typically, laser cutting machines operate at 220V or 380V, so their electricity consumption should be measured in kilowatt hours (kWh). Specifically, if the laser cutter works for 1 hour, it should use 3 kilowatt-hours (3kWh) of electricity. If you work longer hours, you will use more electricity. It should be noted that the electricity consumption of laser cutting machine is also affected by its work efficiency, cutting materials and cutting depth and other factors, so the specific electricity consumption also needs to be calculated according to the actual situation.

The power of each laser cutting machine is somewhat biased, and the specific electricity consumption depends on nitrogen cutting, oxygen cutting or air cutting.

The power consumption of fiber laser cutting machine is roughly divided into the following directions
1. Laser generator, according to the power of the generator, the greater the power, the greater the power consumption.
2. Mechanical part, including servo system, NC, and electricity consumption of each electrical component.
3, water cooler, according to the size of the generator power, water cooling capacity should also match.
4. The power of air compressor and air compressor is not the same as that of cutting machine manufacturers.

The total power of one 3000 watts laser cutting machine is about 30kw,if 60% cutting power,the average power is about 18kw,so 18kw*local electricity price ($/kWh), the result is the electricity consumption cost of the machine per hour.
