Recently, Chang Guang Hua Chip released 56G PAM4 EML optical communication chip, entering the high-end optical chip market, opening a broad space for growth.
The data center is the carrier of computing power. AI servers have very high requirements on the transmission rate and delay of the underlying data. The corresponding top-shelf switch needs to match the larger data transmission bandwidth of the underlying data and the extremely low delay redundancy, which requires the matching of high-rate optical modules. The single-wave 100Gbps (56Gbaud four-level pulse amplitude modulation (PAM4)) electrical absorption modulator laser diode (EML) chip, which supports coarse wavelength division multiplexing (CWDM) at four wavelengths, achieves 400Gbps transmission rate using four chips, Or 8 chips to achieve 800Gbps transmission rate application target. The chip uses a ridge waveguide structure that supports four CWDM wavelengths -1271, 1291, 1311 and 1331nm, allowing optical signals of different wavelengths to be multiplexed in a single fiber, thus reducing the number of fibers required. The modulation rate is up to 56GBd, and the 56GBd PAM4 signal can be used to support 112Gb/s, which has the advantages of low threshold current and wide operating temperature range. The chip conforms to the RoHS standard and Telcordia GR-468 standard, and is the core component of the current 400G / 800G supercomputer data center interconnection optical module.
Since 2010, Changguang Huaxin has already laid out the production line of indium phosphide laser chips, with the initial batch shipment capacity of 2.5G FP.
