The work of Australian laser fusion energy company HB11 Energy was celebrated in a special issue of the Journal of Laser and Particle Beams, showcasing the research of the world's most advanced laser fusion researchers led by a newly established consortium led by HB11 Energy.

Dr. Warren McKenzie, Founder and Managing Director of HB11 Energy
The title of this special issue is a review of the pioneering work of Professor Heinrich Hora, co-founder of HB11 Energy, since the 1970s, which has developed theoretical concepts on how to achieve hydrogen boron fusion as a new clean energy.

This special issue, published by Cambridge University Press and Hindawi, focuses on the progress of laser driven hydrogen boron fusion without the need for high temperatures. It includes several experimental results that demonstrate fusion, which confirm many of Hora's predictions.

These contributions mainly come from 88 participants in the PROBONO program of the European Science and Technology Cooperation (COST) program led by major HB11 energy partners in Europe, including its chief scientist Professor Dmitri Batani, who is also the editor in chief of the special report.

It seeks to promote new hydrogen boron fuel laser fusion energy technology, hire and cultivate the world's best talents, invest in laser fusion research projects, and mobilize a global network of the world's best talents in this field.

Crucially, it will also consolidate and accelerate the growing global movement to move beyond laser fusion using deuterium tritium (DT) as fuel (as demonstrated by the Lawrence Livermore National Ignition Facility) and instead use hydrogen and boron as fuel.

This transformation will enable the global fusion industry to bypass many safety and engineering challenges in fusion research, as well as the main obstacles to achieving economically viable energy production.

The alliance's new research analyzes new methods and high brightness for laser driven hydrogen boron fusion energy α The application of particle sources, including research by world leading physicists, such as:

Fabio Belloni, a nuclear physicist at the University of New South Wales, showed that proton boron fusion can be achieved at a lower temperature than previously thought by using the superheat effect, thus turning on the possibility of ignition and fusion combustion. Thomas A. Melhorn, Chief Nuclear Physicist at the University of Michigan and member of the HB11 Energy Science Advisory Committee, presented a roadmap for utilizing these new effects in new plans to achieve non equilibrium thermonuclear combustion as a new strategy for achieving net energy gain and economically feasible fusion energy.

So far, the main concern of the entire scientific community has been deuterium tritium (DT) fusion, as the high temperature required to achieve fusion is much lower than that of hydrogen boron fusion, which is considered by many to be impossible.
However, DT fusion generates a large number of high-energy neutrons, which may cause harm to humans as they interact with other materials, emit neutrons, and produce radioactive waste.

When laser is used to trigger hydrogen boron fusion reactions, it does not have these same problems, which is why compared to many peers, HB11 Energy still focuses on producing this as a potential source of clean, affordable, and abundant energy.
This is also why HB11 Energy is now mobilizing some of the world's greatest thinkers to join this movement.

However, despite its obvious advantages, fusion energy research has been severely suppressed by regulations aimed at protecting public safety from the effects of nuclear disasters, as despite the HB11 fusion reaction, regulations adopt a comprehensive approach to all forms of nuclear energy (fission and fusion) that is completely safe.

According to HB11 Energy, the breakthrough in the net energy gain of the national ignition device has also observed the non Thermal equilibrium effect, which makes people pay more attention to the possibility of laser fusion and its achievable goals, especially the use of hydrogen boron 11 as the fuel.

Dr. Warren McKenzie, founder and managing director of HB11, said, "Everyone at HB11 Energy is honored to have recognized our world leading researchers for their significant scientific development in hydrogen boron fusion energy generation - a method that many people thought was impossible before. Now, we are one step closer to turning the theory of our co founder Professor Hora in the 1970s into reality.

The technical approach to achieving a functional HB11 fusion reactor is clearly not as complex, making it shorter and cheaper than any other proposed fusion energy method. Therefore, HB11 Energy's technology can create the world's most economical and carbon rich energy source, which is actually safe

HB11 Energy (www.hb11. energy) is creating a clean energy future; Safe, reliable and unlimited power is generated by small Nuclear fusion reactors, which use abundant fuel and have little or no hazardous waste. It does this by using laser Technological convergence to fuse hydrogen and boron 11. Hydrogen is the most abundant element in the universe, and boron 11 accounts for approximately 80% of all boron in nature, making it easy to obtain and a stable non radioactive isotope.

Unlike other nuclear and fossil fuel burning plants, HB11 Energy's energy production process does not require large factories. Energy is released in the form of charged particles and can be directly converted into electrical energy without the need for a steam turbine. This method generates very few neutrons through a few side reactions, thereby minimizing waste issues to the greatest extent possible. There is no risk of reactor meltdown, and the energy generated can be directly transmitted to the power grid.
