SCANLAB GmbH, the world's leading provider of scanning solutions, will present its latest innovations at the Laser Photonics World Fair 2023. The company will showcase the powerful intelli SCAN IV series and SCAN motion control software, which takes laser process control to new levels of precision and flexibility.

intelli SCAN IV Series - Compact, high-performance scan head

The new intelli SCAN IV series sets the standard in terms of compactness, performance and integration. Thanks to the reduced size and integrated water cooling, they offer greater stability and an impressive 20% improvement in dynamic performance compared to previous models.

intelli SCAN IV is characterized by easy integration into a variety of system concepts. The housing is dust and water resistant, IP66 rated and contains an interlocking connection for integration into the security circuit. An outstanding feature is the novel cooling concept. The housing integrates water-cooled channels to ensure optimal temperature stability for galvanometer scanners, beam entrances and electronics.

The new scan head is compatible with all SCANLAB RTC driver boards. Users can choose between classic scanner controls with tracking errors or known SCAN advance controls from the Excelli SCAN family to realize the full dynamic potential of the scan head.

In addition, intelli SCAN IV is "ready for SCAN motion control." The new software enables unprecedented process control while minimizing processing time.

SCAN MotionControl for state-of-the-art laser process control

SCAN MotionControl is trajectory planning software designed for scanning systems to accurately track dynamic limit set points. By simultaneously adjusting laser power and scanning speed, SCAN MotionControl provides superior process control and maximizes throughput. The software ensures the precise application of laser energy, maintaining the defined intensity at the desired location and time. In addition, the addition of simulation and parameter optimization significantly reduces process development time.

The new software can be integrated with excelli SCAN and intelli SCAN IV systems. Especially in demanding applications such as additive manufacturing, the combination of scanning head and software enables precise and highly dynamic motion in sync with the laser. In essence, these solutions are attractive to customers who need the highest productivity and the highest quality.
