Foba has launched the F.0100-ir ultrafast laser with an adjustable pulse width and 10W laser power for marking applications in the automotive, electronics and medical device manufacturing industries. According to reports, this ultra-short pulse laser is able to bring the deepest, matte and non-reflective black marking effect without significant heat input on the workpiece.
Even after further processing steps, such as passivation, these marks remain very clear and corrosion-resistant. Due to its very short pulse (down to the femtosecond range), combined with high pulse energy, the system can label various stainless steels, titanium and various plastics.
Philipp Febel, Product Management Director at Foba, said: "Our laser system enables adjustable pulse widths to meet specific material requirements. That's not easy to do in the very short term." As a result, Foba F.0100-ir offers a wide range of applicability, high accuracy and excellent process stability.
"The laser head is so compact that we can integrate it into the M-series marking workstation. That's usually what our clients ask for." Since the system is air-cooled and uses almost no consumables, it requires little maintenance. In addition, the high marking speed, combined with Foba's proven camera and software solutions, enables lean, efficient parts manufacturing.
Foba offers sample marking, new USP marking systems for medical device manufacturing, automotive parts production or marking applications for electronic products. Materials that are normally labeled with other wavelengths, such as ultraviolet light, can also be considered.
