Chillers are a common industrial refrigeration equipment widely used in production processes in various industries, such as electronics, chemical, mechanical, pharmaceutical, and more. Its main function is to quickly dissipate the heat generated by industrial equipment, maintain the normal working temperature of the equipment, and thus ensure the normal operation of the production process. If the chiller is used for a long time or not regularly maintained, it is inevitable that some common faults will occur.
1. Is the high and low pressure normal
When the high pressure and low pressure of the compressor are very different or equal when the chiller is running, a malfunction occurs. At this time, we should immediately stop the operation of the chiller, check whether the valve plate of the compressor is damaged or broken, and notify the chiller manufacturer to send someone to assist in handling it.
2. Insufficient refrigerant indicator light on
When the indicator light for insufficient refrigerant in the chiller is on, leak detection should be carried out in a timely manner. If any leakage points are found, they should be promptly repaired and the chiller should be filled with appropriate refrigerant.
3. Poor heat dissipation causes slow or ineffective cooling
If the condenser of the chiller has poor heat dissipation, the efficiency of the compressor will be low and the operating current will increase. At this time, it is necessary to check whether the cooling circulating water is normal, whether the cooling water temperature is too high, whether the condenser is dirty and blocked, etc. After all of these are normal, restart to operate normally.
