03-021. Different levels of complexity. Servo motors are closed-loop control, and the motor body contains a high-precision encoder; Stepper motors are generally open-loop controlled, and the motor body does not include a feedback device. 2. Different precision servo motors can achieve repeated positioning accuracy of several arcseconds and absolute positioning accuracy of tens of arcseconds. The photoelectric encoder can be subdivided into one million parts per revolution, and the control step can be one millionth of a revolution. The step angle of a stepper motor is not of the same magnitude. 3. Different uses. In addition to high precision, servo motors can also output large torque and high speed, and are generally used as high-precision drive actuators; Stepper motors, on the other hand, are generally used as control action components and have weaker load capacity.
