Laser chiller equipment is one of the common equipment in our production field, and cooling water is used to cool the chiller equipment. Someone asked, can the cooling water of the laser chiller use well water or river water? NO!. For laser chillers, under normal circumstances, we usually use pure water to add. Next, let me analyze for you, what are the hazards of using well water or river water to cool a laser chiller?

Hydrocooling

1、 Well water, river water, or groundwater have more impurities and are prone to scale formation. When we use well water or river water for cooling, when the cooling water enters the condenser, the substances in the water will precipitate and form scale, which can easily cause blockage of the water condenser, cause high pressure alarm of the industrial chiller, and affect the normal operation of the chiller. Therefore, whether it is cooling water or water in the water tank, it is best not to use well water, river water, or groundwater.

2、 Well water and river water contain certain minerals, and the water quality is acidic and alkaline, which can corrode water pipes. Generally speaking, our cooling water pipes are made of copper pipes, which have good heat exchange, refrigeration and heat dissipation effects. Using well water and river water for cooling can corrode the copper pipes and have a significant impact on the chiller.

3、 Water pollution is severe. Both industrial wastewater and domestic sewage are discharged into river water and groundwater, causing serious water pollution. Well water is also contaminated by household waste, so it is not suitable for use in the operation of laser chillers.

The selection of cooling water directly affects the normal use of the chiller. Once there is a problem with the water quality, it can cause various problems with the chiller. Therefore, the long-term stable operation of the laser chiller requires the selection of cooling water.

The river water is dirty, but the well water feels relatively pure?
