There are four main points: fire prevention, condensation prevention, waterproofing, and lightning protection.
Preventing fires
1. When using a laser cutting machine, do a good job of cleaning the surrounding environment of the equipment. Avoid stacking flammable and explosive foreign objects around to prevent sparks from splashing and causing fires.
2. If oxygen is needed during cutting, smoking should be prohibited in the cutting machine area, especially near oxygen cylinders, to prevent potential hazards and unnecessary damage.
3. Metal dust accumulation in specific environments can cause dust explosion accidents, so it is necessary to do a good job of dust cleaning.
4. Install dry powder fire extinguishing devices near the equipment and prepare for fire drills.
Preventing condensation
1. To prevent condensation in the laser path during summer, it is recommended to install an air conditioning room as soon as possible, adjust the cooling water temperature reasonably, and ensure the correct order of on/off.
2. When the temperature exceeds 25 degrees Celsius in summer, please turn on and off the machine in the following order.
(1) Startup sequence
First, turn the key switch on the front panel of the laser to the "OFF" position and then turn on the main power supply of the laser (the laser does not emit light) to dehumidify the inside of the laser air conditioner (about fifteen minutes). Then turn on the chiller and wait for the internal temperature of the laser to drop to around 25 degrees Celsius and the internal humidity to be less than 70 degrees before cutting.
(2) Shutdown sequence
First, turn the key switch on the front panel of the laser to the "OFF" position, turn off the chiller, and wait for the air conditioning to continue running for about 20 minutes before turning off the power. (Avoid situations where the laser has been turned off and the chiller is still running)
3. There should be no obvious heat sources around the laser, and the hot air outlet of the water cooler should not be directly facing the laser.
4. Please set the temperature of the low-temperature water (inner light path) of the chiller to 24-27 ℃, and the temperature of the high-temperature water (outer light path) to 30 ℃.
5. It is strictly prohibited to place obstructions around the chiller to avoid affecting its heat dissipation. Dust on the air conditioning filter should be cleaned weekly to keep the filter clean and unobstructed. To prevent the laser from malfunctioning due to high temperature alarms.
What should I do if condensation has already occurred?
1. Stop the machine immediately, please turn off the chiller first, and then turn off the laser;
2. Wipe off the condensation water on the laser casing, wait until the condensation is completely eliminated, and then start according to the startup sequence and steps;
3. Take cooling and dehumidification measures for the working environment of the laser to achieve the required working conditions for normal laser operation.
3、 Preventing floods
1. There is a lot of rainfall in summer, so preventive measures should be taken in advance. Adequate waterproof tools need to be prepared in advance in the factory building. When rainwater may overflow into the workshop, immediately block the relevant entrances with straw bags, soil bags, or quick setting cement, and clean the drainage ditch.
2. Strengthen safety awareness training for factory personnel, and keep an eye on weather forecasts to prepare for defense.
3. When rainstorm comes, the power supply of equipment shall be cut off in time to prevent short circuit and damage of components.
4. Core components need to be promptly transferred to high ground locations, and important components such as cutting heads, lasers, and electrical cabinets should be protected to prevent them from being soaked in rainwater.
5. If conditions permit, equipment can be elevated.
6. Properly fix the equipment to prevent it from being washed away and causing secondary damage to other facilities such as the factory building.
4、 Preventing lightning strikes
1. If conditions permit, stop the laser cutting machine and cut off the power during thunderstorm weather.
2. If work is required in thunderstorm weather, it is necessary to ensure that the grounding of the factory meets national standards, and it is strictly prohibited to use iron rods or steel beams instead of grounding.
