Two plywood rectangular cutouts are not aligned

I am cutting out two plywood rectangles to be glued back to back using the same rectangle drawn in Lightburn but when I fit the plywood together, it does not line up square. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

      Did you check if your laser bed is perfectly leveled and square?

        Some things to check:

Step/mm calibration is correct for both axes
Both diagonals of a big square are 1.414 × side length
Laser beam is perpendicular to platform
No mechanical backlash
