I am sure I am not the only one here that has this happening, most likely with every K40 machine. My machine reaches max output milliamp output at 22-23% output in Lightburn. Would it be possible to calibrate the power output so that it reaches max Milliamp output at 100% in Lightburn power settings?

Yes, change the s-value max to the desired value (in device settings). In your case, it will be 230 if it was 1000 before.

        • : Thanks for the reply, So then does $30 need to be set to 230 also?

        • : No. Then you would fire with maximum power again. If you set it in LightBurn only, 100% in LightBurn equals 23% of your actual laser power.

This really depends on how your machine is wired up, to be specific, does the pwm toggle the laser enable or does it drive the IN input of the lps?

Many of these have a manual pot that changes it’s current limiting by applying a DC voltage to the IN terminal of the lps. This sets current limiting of the lps.

If the pwm is wired to laser enable, then anytime the machine lases, it will lase limiting the current to that set manually by the pot.

This also relates to the mA meter. No matter how a meter is driven, it always reads rms value of it’s input.
