How to solve alignment and cutting problems

03-01Check everything on your machine. Belt tension, rollers, pulleys, all mechanical connections. Something is loose somewhere. Or your running your speeds way too fast.

: Hi there. Thanks for the advice. I just tried tighten the belts and I doubt that is is running too fast as the cut speed is set to 100 mm/m at 90% with 2 passes on 3mm basswood. After the tightening, I ran a quick test and it seemed to be circular. Trying the file again and keeping my fingers crossed.

: Belt tension on the X axis is hard to check. Just visually. But the y axis is easier. After you adjust the Y belts with power off. Put the Y Axis all the way to the front of the machine . Then tilt the front of the machine up in the air. The Y axis should slowly drift all the way to the back of the machine. If it doesn’t move the belts are too tight. If it bangs into the back of the machine the belts are too loose. Thats the way i do it
