Based on the innovative concept, STOBER has developed a rack and pinion transmission system with compact structure, safe use and easy installation. The system is tailored for machine tool, automation and robot applications.
STOBER can provide four different series of rack and pinion transmission systems, which are connected with STOBER planetary reducer or spiral bevel gear reducer through servo motor, so as to provide customers with compact and high dynamic rack and pinion transmission solutions.

All STOBER gear and rack transmission systems are ready-to-use solutions with multiple combinations to perfectly match different requirements in load capacity, accuracy and other aspects.
All designed pinions can be combined with STOBER planetary gear reducer, and ZV series gears can also be combined with STOBER spiral bevel gear reducer.
All STOBER EZ series servo motors can be directly connected with the reducer, and can be used in various sizes without any adapter. Therefore, customers can benefit from less inertia and make full use of the dynamic characteristics of the drive unit.
ZR series
→ Suitable for high-speed applications
The ZR series is ideal for high-speed applications. Through the perfect meshing of large spiral bevel gear and rack, extremely high feed speed can be achieved.
When PH series planetary reducer is combined with EZ series synchronous servo motor, you will get a high-performance reducer motor, which is perfect for all applications with ultra-high requirements in stiffness, accuracy and reliability.
ZTR series
→ Suitable for compact applications
ZTR series has high accuracy and strong performance. It is characterized by small pinion diameter, high linear stiffness and low torque requirements.
The pinion is equipped with a welded screw connection flange, which is convenient for disassembly and assembly. Therefore, the ZTR series is particularly suitable for installing in the feed shaft of machine tools that will interfere with the bearing pedestal, such as gantry machine tools, vertical and horizontal lathes, or milling and drilling centers.
PH or PHV series planetary gear reducers and EZ series synchronous servo motors are used in combination, which perfectly fits the applications with high requirements for rigidity, accuracy and reliability.
ZTRS series
→ Suitable for extremely demanding applications
The bolted support bearing pedestal with inner wall stiffener developed by STOBER fully utilizes the torque of the gear in the rack and pinion transmission, thus optimizing the power density and stiffness.
ZTRS series is very suitable for machine tools, laser machines and feed shafts of high dynamic and accurate processing systems.
When PH, PHV or PHQ series planetary gear reducers are combined with EZ series synchronous servo motors, you can obtain a highly compact and dynamic drive unit. The drive unit is driven by the classic high quality helical gear of STOBER, with excellent torsional stiffness and roll stiffness.
ZV series
→ Suitable for applications requiring high flexibility and economy
ZV series can be used together with various series of STOBER reducers. Whether it is a linear or rectangular solution, it can be freely selected. It is an ideal choice for general automation applications. ZV series gears can be used together with STOBER P, PE, KS, K, KL series reducers.
