(1) For high-speed, high-power and long-term working conditions, the transmission system with high bearing capacity, stable transmission and high transmission efficiency should be selected.
(2) In the case of low speed, medium and small power and high transmission ratio, multiple schemes such as single-stage worm drive, multi-stage gear drive, belt-gear drive and belt-gear-chain drive can be adopted, and the scheme with high efficiency can be selected through analysis and comparison.
(3) When the working environment is harsh and there is a lot of dust, try to use closed transmission to extend the service life of transmission parts. Belt drive is not suitable for occasions with high working temperature or easy to burn.
(4) When the transmission ratio is large, worm drive and planetary gear drive with compact structure shall be preferred. When the output shaft of the prime mover is parallel to the input shaft of the working mechanism, cylindrical gear transmission can be used; When the center distance is large, belt drive or chain drive can be used. When two shafts intersect, bevel gear transmission can be used; When the two shafts are staggered in space, worm drive can be used; When the two shafts are arranged coaxially, the two-stage coaxial cylindrical gear transmission or planetary gear transmission can be used.
