Scientists have developed the optoNCDT 1900 laser triangulation sensor equipped with integrated interfaces EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP and PROFINET, which is now smarter, faster and easier to operate. They combine high measurement rates with compact dimensions, integrated controllers, and high measurement accuracy. Debugging can be done in less time thanks to the concept of installing accessories and intuitive operation through the Web interface.

The optoNCDT 1900 Laser triangulation sensor is used for automatic displacement, distance and position measurement in industrial processes. They provide highly accurate measurements in applications such as automotive manufacturing, 3D printing, coordinate measuring machines, injection molding, packaging and CNC machine tools, as well as in the battery industry, smartphone production, robotics applications and wood processing.

Sensors can be easily connected to the controller through integrated interfaces EtherCAT, EtherNet/IP and PROFINET. This is especially true in dynamic processes and when multiple devices and machines are networked with each other. The sensor uses two-stage averaging to provide smooth signal curves at the steps and edges, preventing signal overshoot. For changing surfaces, advanced surface compensation can be used to adjust the exposure time of the target surface while quickly changing the surface.

The sensor can be mounted via a mounting sleeve, a patented mounting concept. This allows them to be properly aligned automatically. No external control unit is required because the compact sensor works with the integrated controller.
