Ficep UK has introduced its "Plus" laser system to the UK market for metal cutting

Ficep UK, a leading supplier of premium structural steel and sheet processing equipment, has introduced Cutlite Penta's state-of-the-art "Plus" laser system for metal cutting with a resonator power of up to 30kW to the UK market.

Ficep is now the exclusive UK agent for Cutlite Penta Plus laser systems. With a working area of up to 15m x 3m, the Cutlite Penta Plus can process thick capacity stainless steel and mild steel with thick capacity up to 50mm, making it a strong choice for applications involving heavy engineering.

The laser combines high performance levels, structural robustness, and higher efficiency. Its linear motor drive provides highly responsive dynamic performance and achieves excellent productivity even on extremely complex geometries, while its low energy consumption makes it an effective solution for both production and the environment.

Claimed to be the best linear motor on the market to guarantee handling quality, the linear motor, together with a fiber optic laser source, achieves a high level of accuracy when cutting carbon steel and stainless steel. Its ease of use and high processing speed also increase productivity while ensuring highly optimized, repeatable, and reliable results.

The smooth motion of the cutter head enables low pressure cutting, thus greatly saving manufacturing costs. Its Evo 3 cutting head is equipped with a non-contact capacitive sensor and its optional bevel head can be rotated up to 45° in both cutting directions. It also comes with an automatic nozzle changer.
