After being acquired by femto technologies, Prima industries, an Italian laser system parts processing manufacturer, announced a few days ago that the company would be delisted from the European market.

According to the news, femto technologies has agreed to acquire a majority stake in the laser system manufacturer, with a transaction value of more than 129 million euros (130.17 million US dollars). Prima said that femto would first buy slightly more than 50.1% of the initial equity of the company, and then plan to make further acquisitions. The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of this year, no earlier than November 2022. At present, the company's share capital will be indirectly held by alpha private equity and Peninsula fund.

 

Prima industries is a company that produces laser machines for processing planar and 3D parts. The company said that some shareholders who sold their shares would reinvest the company and continue to serve as minority investors.


According to the quarterly report as of June 2022, the revenue of Prima industries in the latest quarter was 214.2 million euros (+ 16.4%), and the backlog of orders was 281.3 million euros (+ 65.8%). In the first half of the year, Prima industries performed very well both in terms of sales volume and profitability.

From the regional perspective, the market revenue in East and Africa, southern Europe, the Middle East and Africa (semea) increased by 32.5%, the Nordic market increased by 20.4%, the American market increased by 2.1%, and the Asia Pacific market increased by 2.0% (from 31.96 million euros to 32.61 million euros).
