There are many kinds of transmission methods of air compressors, generally more belt transmission, gear transmission, direct transmission. Each transmission mode has its own advantages and disadvantages, in the emphasis on energy saving and high efficiency of the present, the choice of which transmission mode is the user needs to seriously consider. Below, we start from the characteristics of various transmission methods.
1. belt drive
The shaft of the motor and the host is installed after the motor pulley and the host pulley are connected by the belt to drive, usually used in small models, the advantage is that the structure is relatively simple, economic, convenient modification, low cost, the disadvantage is that the noise is larger, the belt is easy to wear and slip, the life is short, and the transmission efficiency is low.
2. gear drive
The shaft of the motor and the host is installed after the motor gear and the host gear, through the gear meshing transmission, generally used in the need to increase or reduce the speed of the air compressor, usually the gear and the host are arranged in a housing, the advantage is that the modification is easier, the transmission efficiency is higher, the reliability is higher, the life is long, the disadvantage is the requirement of higher manufacturing and installation accuracy, the production cost is higher.
3. direct transmission
The shaft of the motor and the main engine is driven by a coupling, and the direct transmission link hardly consumes energy, which is the most efficient transmission mode. The coupling has no maintenance other than replacing the elastomer every few years. The positive rotor speed of the direct compressor is equal to the motor speed, and the life and reliability are the highest.
In fact, an air compressor also has two transmission modes of gear and direct connection together, but because the host and gear are made into one, it seems that the motor and the host are also directly connected.
