Laser Research Optics launches CO2 focusing lenses for cutting thick diamond slabs

Laser Research Optics has launched a series of ZnSe laser focusing lenses for steel cutting lasers up to 4kW, used for cutting thick diamond slabs and other heavy steel products.

Laser Research CO2 focusing lenses have an outer diameter size of 1 "to 2.5" and a focal length of 5 "to 10" with increments of 0.5 "to meet specific steel cutting requirements. These focusing lenses are designed to allow users to choose the most suitable lens for their application, optimized for 10.6 microns, and offer both flat convex and meniscus configurations; they can be used as standard or installed.

Laser Research CO2 focusing lenses are very suitable for 200W to 4kW CO2 cutting lasers and can be provided to OEMs and end users for direct on-site replacement. There are two versions available: one uses a standard A/R coating with a total absorption rate of less than 0.2%, and the other uses a proprietary Cool Cut coating with a laser energy absorption rate of less than 0.15% to prevent thermal damage.
