Water chiller is a kind of water cooling equipment, which provides constant temperature, constant flow and constant pressure. So, in practical application, how should we deal with the refrigeration problem when the laser chiller works for a long time?

 

1) Chiller alarm
When the refrigerant pressure of the chiller is too high/low, the flow alarm, the water temperature is too low, the overload, the water level is too low, etc., an alarm will occur and the refrigeration system will be stopped. In these cases, the cause of the alarm should be detected and handled according to the actual situation. After the alarm is stopped, restart the machine to start the refrigeration system. Generally, such problems can be solved according to the instructions or the remote technical guidance of the after-sales personnel of the manufacturer.

 

2) Refrigerant leakage/insufficient refrigerant
Check the welding joints of capillary, evaporator, condenser, etc. inside the chiller to ensure that there is no refrigerant leakage. If there is any leakage, supplement the refrigerant and repair welding. If the refrigerant is insufficient, supplement the refrigerant. In general, if such problems are found after troubleshooting, it is recommended to contact the chiller manufacturer and return to the factory for treatment.

3) Compressor damage/reduced efficiency
As the core part of the chiller and the "heart" of the refrigeration system, the compressor will not inhale, its speed will drop, and it will be stuck, which will affect the refrigeration of the chiller. Therefore, it is necessary to replace the relevant parts of the compressor or the entire compressor. As above, if the compressor needs to be replaced, it is also recommended to contact the cold water chiller manufacturer and return to the factory for treatment.

 

4) Dust accumulation of chiller
In many customer sites, the equipment works 24 hours a day, and the chiller works 24 hours a day. Therefore, in the long use process, the chiller must be well maintained, regularly cleaned of dust, and installed in a place with good heat dissipation and ventilation, so that it can play a better refrigeration effect.

 

5) Filter of chiller is blocked
After the filter is blocked, the dust on the condenser will accumulate more and more, which will affect the water inlet and outlet flow, leading to the worse refrigeration effect of the chiller. Therefore, it is necessary to clean and replace the filter screen regularly to ensure the water flow, so as to maintain a good refrigeration effect.

 

6) Other
To sum up, there are many factors that affect the cooling effect of the chiller. When selecting the chiller, we suggest that the chiller with a slightly larger cooling capacity than the required cooling capacity of the machinery and equipment should be selected, but there is no need to reserve a lot, so that the required cooling capacity can be provided under special environment and load.
