Precision laser manufacturer Preco appoints Jacob Brunsberg as CEO

Recently, Preco, a leading enterprise in precision laser material processing and laser equipment manufacturing solutions, officially announced a major personnel appointment: Jacob Brunsberg, an outstanding senior manufacturing and technology management expert, has been appointed as its CEO.

 



Mr. Brunsberg is a renowned senior manager in the field of advanced manufacturing and technology, with many highlights in his career.

Prior to joining Preco, he successfully led Sigma Additive Solutions, a pioneer in the metal 3D printing industry, as CEO. Prior to this, he served as the Global Financial Performance Manager for General Electric's binder jet technology division, demonstrating outstanding operational management and profitability growth capabilities.

Looking back to September 2021, Mr. Brunsberg joined Sigma Labs, a developer of metal 3D printing quality assurance software, as Senior Vice President. He was subsequently promoted to President and Chief Operating Officer due to his outstanding performance, responsible for strategic planning, customer relationship building, market expansion, product sales, and engineering technology driving. He effectively promoted the innovation and commercialization process of additive manufacturing (AM) products and significantly enhanced process quality control.

Prior to this, Mr. Brunsberg held key positions at General Electric, leading the binder jet technology department to achieve global financial optimization. He also served as the Senior Managing Director for the Central region, making significant contributions to the establishment and expansion of GE's additive business, successfully integrating multiple advanced technology companies including Concept Laser, Arcam, and GEONX.

In addition, he has eight years of sales experience and product marketing strategy development experience at the coating company American Roller Company, focusing on industrial conversion technology, advanced welding, cladding, thermal spraying, and powder metallurgy, contributing valuable market insights and strategic blueprints to the company's performance growth.

Mr. Brunsberg graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison with a Bachelor's degree in Materials Science and Engineering, and continues to provide support to the university as an external consultant.
